On the evening of October 28, 2024, Highland AMVETS brought together veterans and their families for a memorable monthly meeting at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cookeville, TN. The event was filled with laughter, stories, and a sense of unity, showcasing the community spirit that defines AMVETS.

If you missed the dinner, we had a delightful family meal from O'Charley's Restaurant. Those chicken tenders were not to be missed!

The Focus on Goodwill

As the meeting began, the post shifted to the business of caring for each other, discussing opportunities to help, sharing resources, and upcoming events. Attendees were encouraged to volunteer for upcoming initiatives, such as fundraising events and community service days where they could contribute their time and resources. The gathering aimed to ensure that every veteran feels valued and supported.

Welcoming New Members

A significant highlight of the evening was the induction of five new members into the AMVETS family. This moment infused the gathering with excitement, as each new member was called forward to be welcomed with cheer and applause.
